Burak Gunes is currently working as a Research Assistant at Ahi Evran University. He was graduated from Ankara University Political Science Faculty in 2010. In the same year, he started his master education at Ankara University in the department of African Studies. While he was studying, he was awarded with full scolarship by Ministry of National Education. In this respect, he studied LLM in International Law in the UK at University of Sussex. He graduated with Merit Degree. During not only his High School times but also University years he participated the variety of social activities.
First of all, he was elected as the president of the students of Fethiye High School in 2003-2004. Then, he participated into Kemalist Thought Society as founding chairman in Political Science Faculty, Ankara University in 2006. He fulfilled a duty as being vice-president and president of the society arranging numerous conferences and seminars as president. Later on he became an author of semi-academic journal of students of the Political Science Faculty called “Events and Comments on International Relations” in 2006. Moreover, he became editor of “Events and Comments on International Relations” in 2007-2008. He took part as Founding chairman of Youth Society of Political Science Faculty in 2010. After his graduation from University, he became a member of Political Science Faculty Alumni Association taking duties relating to students of the Political Science Faculty in 2010. Lastly, he was elected as a Board Membership of the Youth Council of Cankaya Municipality in 2010. Then he was given title of secretary-general of the Youth Council of Cankaya Municipality in 2010.
