Haydar Karaman is working as an analyst at Strategic Outlook. He had graduated from the Department of International Relation in Kırıkkale University. In addition this, in the discharge of his education, he had undergone training in the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Turkey as intern at External Relations Office. After his bachelor degree, he awarded a scholarship from the Republic of Turkey and went to the United Kingdom for master education at International Criminal Law in University of Sussex. His graduation thesis was about “the Turkish Legal System and the Principle of Non-refoulement of refugees in the light of International Law”.
He is now following his PhD education in the University of Sussex in the School of Law, Politics and Sociology. His PhD topic is related to The Right of Conscientious Objection to Military Service in Turkey within the Comparison of the International Standards on Alternative Civilian Service.
He is interested to the following areas; International Criminal Law, Human Rights and Responsibilities, Minority Rights, Critical Legal Theory and International Relations.
